The intent of Kona Coast Shellfish is to provide a sustained and diversified shellfish larvae and seed resource to ensure the ongoing harvest and sale of west coast shellfish products and to research and develop new means for such assurances into the future. This is not only a message to our hatchery customers but to the customers of our parent company's mussel, clam and oyster products in the food service and retail markets.

Our ability to continue to supply shellfish larvae and seed to the parent companies, Coast Seafoods and Penn Cove Shellfish, will also allow for the present day shellfish market to count on the availability of sustainable farmed shellfish produced by environmentally conscious producers. It is this growing market that provides the basis for the future of Kona Coast Shellfish, LLC.

The strategic alliance of Coast Seafoods Company and Penn Cove Shellfish, LLC. created in 1996 has led way to one of the fastest growing shellfish companies in North America. The symbiotic demands of each company are also the basis for the creation now of Kona Coast Shellfish, LLC.
